The Department has planned a series of technical assistance web conferences to assist grantees with the implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The technical assistance is designed for all grantees of Department of Education programs that received ARRA funds.
The Education Department's (ED) Risk Management Service (RMS) will be coordinating a series of ED Recovery Act technical assistance (TA) web conferences designed to assist ED grantees and sub-grantees in managing grants awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act). The goal of these web conferences is to provide information and enhance communication as we all work together to spend Recovery Act funds effectively to achieve the goals of saving and creating jobs, ensuring transparency and accountability, thoughtfully investing Recovery Act funds, and improving student achievement through school improvement and reform.
The ED Recovery Act TA web conferences will be held on a regular schedule and will address a broad range of topics, such as basic federal grant and fiscal management requirements (e.g., cash management, internal controls, and procurement), Recovery Act-specific topics (e.g., Recovery Act reporting and uses of Recovery Act funds), innovative projects and best practices, program-specific requirements, and fraud prevention. Presenters will include representatives from across the Department, who will respond to questions as time permits.

The topic and registration link for each web conference will be announced in advance on the ed.gov Recovery Act site, and links to archives of the web conferences will also be available on the site.
